2020 Vernacular Architecture Forum (VAF) Virtual Conference

  • Saturday, May 09, 2020
  • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Although we are postponing our full 2020 conference, one component of our usual meeting will go forward in a new format. The paper and poster sessions scheduled for Saturday, 9 May will be presented as a Zoom meeting, hosted by Brent Fortenberry and his colleagues at Texas A&M University.

The conference will include most of the papers and posters selected for the San Antonio Conference. Some paper sessions have been reorganized, and the schedule has been adjusted to accommodate multiple continental US time zones. There will be three blocks of paper sessions, each session including three or four 20-minute papers, as well as an hour for questions to poster presenters. The conference will run from 10 am to about 5 pm Central Daylight Time. See below for the schedule and the list of sessions, papers, and posters.

For our paper sessions: Our session chairs will provide live introductions to each session and its speakers and will moderate the live questions-and-answer session that follows. Speakers will have prerecorded their presentations and will be available to answer questions live.
